Another Update from the team at Chancellor
As a response to the Prime Minister’s announcement last night we have decided that as we can work remotely in an effective manner that we should now do so and therefore with immediate effect the office will close.
All staff will be working from home and all have secure access to our systems and will be available through their usual email address. Therefore, if you wish to contact a particular member of the admin team, this may be the best way to make contact initially, they can then call you back if you need to speak in person.
We will be diverting the office landline to our receptionist, Julie King, who will be able to take messages and can contact us all to arrange call backs. Alternatively, if you do wish to contact your adviser directly then you can call them on their mobile as follows:
Grant 07906 938317
David T 07916 149650
Ed 07552 752378
We will still receive physical post for as long as the post office are operating but clearly based upon the developing situation electronic communication is our preferred method. For those that are registered on our client portal we would ask that you use this method, particularly if sending personal information as it is a more secure method of communication when compared to email.
For those who have not yet taken advantage of our client portal, we will register you as a temporary measure to allow you to communicate with us and it will also allow us to send documents to you including valuation updates as these become due. Whilst we would like to continue to offer the option of sending correspondence through the post, this will be extremely difficult if we are not physically in the office. We can assure you as soon as we are in a position to return to the office, we will revert to issuing correspondence through the post if this is still your preferred option.
Therefore for those that do not currently have access to the portal we will send you an email with the instructions to register yourself and with contact details to allow you to raise any questions or if you have any difficulties.
In terms of the current position of the investment markets, we continue to monitor the situation and any action that we feel would be appropriate, we will come back to you specifically if we feel there is anything that you should be aware of or where action would be appropriate. In most cases however, it is important to recognise that the investments are broadly diversified across all major asset classes and that the current falls in asset prices are as a direct result of the impact of the Covid 19 virus.
Governmental reaction in this country and overseas has been strong to support the economy whilst they continue to try to manage the situation. Once we begin to see that the spread of the virus is under control we should begin to see a little more stability return to investment markets. This may take some time to achieve, but for now it is important that we all try to play our part by following the government guidelines.
Please feel free to contact us if we can be of any help or you have any questions and all at Chancellor would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families well during this difficult period.
